Tony on the Jury!

Yike Academy Artistic Director Tony Yike Yang will be serving on the jury of two competitions in Vancouver and Toronto respectively over the next couple of weeks.

The Vancouver Preliminaries of the 2023 Golden Swan International Music Festival Competition will be held between March 18-28 at the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM), and Tony will be the main Artist-in-Residence and head adjudicator for this event.

In addition to the competition, Tony will also hold several days of intensive public master classes for the festival, and on Friday, March 24th at 7:00PM, he will present a recital at Koerner Hall in VAM with a program of Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, and Prokofiev.

In between his duties at the Golden Swan Festival, Tony will also make a quick stop to Toronto on March 21 & 22 to judge the finals of the Music Lights the Way Piano Festival hosted by the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Both the finals and the awards ceremony will be live-streamed here. During the Awards Ceremony on the evening of the 22nd, Tony will also perform a selection of Rachmaninoff Preludes.
