Academy Summer Gala Concert

This past Saturday, over 50 students performed at the Richmond Hill Performance Center in a Summer Gala celebrating the culmination of a successful school year.

A successful academic year in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic calls for a jubilant celebration!

For three hours, the 600-seater hall was filled happy eyes and with a variety of tonal colours from the majestic 9-foot Steinway center stage. We heard music of all kinds, from composers ranging nearly four centuries. Whether it was Bach or Chopin, French music or Chinese folk tunes, the performers each mesmerized their audience with charm, confidence, and grace.

Performers were all awarded a trophy of distinction at the culmination of the grand gala, as tribute to their dedication and perseverance through these troubling times.

Much gratitude and appreciation to Tom Lee Music Canada, Steinway Piano Gallery Toronto, and the Global Music Education Association for their support of the concert!

Congratulations and thank you all for the beautiful music. An afternoon to remember for a long time!
